Recreation Ambassadors
The Recreation Ambassador administered by the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce, aims to provide consistency in staffing and messaging at some of the most heavily used—and, at times, abused—resources, trailheads, and river access locations.
For the summer of 2026, volunteer ambassadors will staff the below locations, weekends only, from June 27 to August 30th.
Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
Eight Mile Trailhead
Stuart Lake Trailhead
Icicle Gorge Trail
River Locations
US Fish & Wildlife Hatchery
East Leavenworth Road Boat Launch
Barn Beach Take Out
Icicle Road Bridge
Ambassadors will be able to provide trail information, assistance and answer your questions before hitting the trail or with recommendations afterward,
